Dear Edward
Sometimes I have to travel for work and while it’s fun seeing a new city it can be tiring and boring without someone to see it with, but since you’ve come into my life it’s been a lot more interesting to say the least… this week finds us in Chicago…
We got to Chicago O’Hair airport and it was like a scene outta Home Alone, minus the running and leaving a kid behind but ya know
We jumped in a cab and headed downtown to the hotel to get settled in
you decided to have a little fun while we waited in Chicago traffic
I wanted to see some sites so we headed to Navy Pier
Fast cars, motorcycles, boats, you name it you wanna drive it and fast
yup, we were far from home. 1,745 miles!
then we found some fun house mirrors… you looked normal. i did not!
lookin like a model next to one of those “love” art pieces
the sun was setting so we decided to hit the trails. since i’m a human it was time for me to eat
so we jumped in another cab and asked for a dinner recommendation. the cabbies must have been getting used to you and me by now, right?
So we ended up at Giordano’s which is apparently very famous… I’ll say the wait was over an hour!
Then it was time to NOM NOM NOM and seeing as you don’t actually eat real food and I’m a squosh on the lactose intolerant side I only had a little bit, but man was it tasty! So was the antipasto salad which was more down my alley.
at that point i was stuffed to overflowing and it was time to head back to the hotel and hit the hay while you watched me blog

Everytime I go someplace new I realize I really am a west coast girl at heart and even though Chicago may not be “my kind of town” as Frank Sinatra said it was still good times!

What did I miss last night? I’m slowly going through comments. I got my ROBQ after work last night! So very excited! Got my nails done, came home drugged up on NyQuil and went to bed, so I missed everything last night. 😦
Tonight I’m going to the Hastings party that’s from 10-midnight. Not sure what time I’ll go though, probably around 11 or 11:30. They’re not getting the dvds out for us until midnight so no sense going early unless they’re doing something fun, which I don’t know if they are or not.

I also had to see what time I got home last night. I had way too much to drink last night and didn’t know what time I got home. Thankfully I decided to get on LTR. Also saw in my drunken stupor I wrote GobQ. Note to self: Don’t drink and blog.
In honor of Carter and her awesomeness I am officially changing my name. I love the recaps. It really saves a lot time. I am still going read all the post from last night. But is nice to have a recap.
That’s all I got for now. Gotta catch on LTR post from last night, Twitter, then work. I got my priorities in order. 🙂

I’m good today. 🙂 Yesterday was the bad day! I had service people here literally all day. Comcast couldn’t find the other outlet to fix it and spent nearly 2 hours here trying to figure it out and hook up the HD box (they were supposed to do all of that days ago and didn’t do it right). Maintenance came to light the pilot light on the heater only to discover the heater was broken and was here alllll day trying to fix it. And then the migraine hit. It was such a mess.
So glad today is Twilight DVD release day and I have nothing at all constructive to do 😀

Good morning ladies! Didn’t have to go into the devil work this morning – yippy! Thought since it was such a special day that I would just enjoy the whole day – didn’t want work to ruin any of it. Besides, I never take time off anymore. And when I do, I’m always so busy running everywhere – even when on on vaca. Funny how we can take vacation time and still end up running our selves ragged.
@Byrdie – hopeful you get this tonight when you are playing catch up. Thanks so much for welcoming the newbie from Austarlia. Where were our manners? Also, I have compared Rob to Johnny Depp in my mind before too (love Johnny so much – brillant actor).
@moon – I’m assuming you were on business trip by yourself? LOL I would love to see you everywhere taking pics with PE, eating dinner with him, sightseeing, ect. Although if you were with someone else and they weren’t into Rob at all, that would be even worse. DH and I were just talking about running to Chicago in a few weeks. Although DH not as much fun as soccermom to play with PE. Maybe I’ll leave our PE here to watch the house. He could growl at anyone who tried to break in.

So I’ve snuck in here while the in-laws are making breakfast. I know, I put them to good work. Hey they wanted the bacon, its not my fault.
Anyhoo, got my ROBQ last night on the way home. Passed Border’s, and thought, eh, why not check? Went in there totally thinking they wouldn’t have it and I would have to see JT’s mug again, but then to my surprise, there was Rob! *big sh-t eating grin* I couldn’t help it! Wore it the whole way over to the cashier and out the door. Did a happy little dance once I got in the car. Of course, that was weird, cause you know you can’t really do a good dance when your butt is planted in a seat, but I worked it!
Mom and Dad visited for dinner last night and were already home when I got there. Yeah, I was the only one working yesterday. Poo! DH asks what’s that in my hand and I show him the ROBQ, he just smiles and rolls his eyes. Mom wonders what I’m doing and I flash her the ROBQ, she says “oh!” and laughs.
I had shown my mom the Robsessed website and told her all about Rob. She thinks he’s very cute, has no idea about Twilight, etc so didn’t know anything about him until I told her. Then mentioned that he’s English and he’s in She loves her homeboys! So I sat next to her and we gushed over the ROBQ.
My mom-in-law didn’t know what we were doing, I showed her my prized possession and she still didn’t know who he was. I said he’s the Twilight guy (even though I cringed inside when I said it) and she didn’t know Twilight either. Gah, these older women need to get with the freaking times, man! Then I told her he was Cedric Diggory and a little light came on. She looked at the mag and said “wow, he certainly grew up, he looks nothing like that kid anymore.” SQUEE! I love my mom-in-law right now. It’s making their visit all the more tolerable.
Can’t stalk LTR this weekend as we are off to the Spa! At least I’ll be relaxing and getting massages.

I’m so easily excited! Robert from B&N just called me to let me know I could pick up my DVD at 9am. Woohoo! I told him I’d so be there as soon as the doors opened and he laughed. I don’t even mind though.

I think they may have been worried I’d follow through on the threats that DH would have to drag me kicking and screaming from store if I couldn’t pick my DVD up tomorrow AM. They thought it was better to call and reassure me so I’d be all complacent and not prepared to start a scene in the middle of the store when I arrive tomorrow. I may have forgot to mention to them when I ordered that I’m always prepared to flip the hell out if circumstances demand! 😉

I just got my RobQ. FINALLY. I went to Target, Walmart and BAM. I’ve been in BAM everyday this week with my youngest daughter who has flame red hair and destroys everything. They know her, therefore, they know me.
I walk to the back and see his shining face. I actually did the Little Ashes shuffle with a big grin on my face and whispered, with reverence, yes!
My daughter laughed and yelled out YES! (She’s 18 month. Still working on that inside voice thing). We made it up to the counter without her terrorizing the store displays.
I always get the same counter girl. She smiles and said, “Oh he is so purdy.” I smiled, “Yes, yes he is.”
Her: I’m loving all this twilight stuff coming out again so I can look at him.
Me: Yeah, I don’t care about Edward. I like him as dirty Rob.
Her: Oh, I get it. Dirty boys ARE better.
Me: Have you looked inside this mag yet?
Her: No, not yet. Does it get better?
Me: Um, yeah.
Her: What I wouldn’t give to have that scruff scratch me in ALL my special places!
Me: LOL! Thanks and have a great day.
Her: Same. Oh and thanks for shopping Books-A-million!

Picked up my older daughter at preschool. My mom works there. She saw the mag and just laughed. I asked her if she thought he was pretty. She said no. (WHAT?) He’s too scruffy.
I flipped to the layind down pic. “Don’t you think he’s pretty?” Mom: “Nope, still just cute.
Flipped to the cowboy pose. Her eyes bugged a little and she cleared her throat and said “Well, I do like that one.” But her face was really red. She was thinking a whole lot more than that polite response.
Anyway, long rambling post. Sorry.
