Just had to share… I got a Facebook friend request from a freakish girl who went to my high school (I’m not trying to be all Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls — she really was crazy). My first instinct was “hell no — I’m not letting that nut back into my life”. Then I saw where she currently lives — Robcouver. I finally got my twilight DVD *makes a little happy dance*
Honestly, I think that there is something between Rob and Nikki. I don’t know what it is, but there is something there. Right from the beginning. I think she is actually wearing Rob’s shirt at the airport. And in the making of “twilight” Rob and Nikki are briefly interviewed together (at the baseball scene, I think) and they act like they’d just had a quick secret romp before. When Rob was asked who’s ipod he would like to steal to listen to the stuff on it he said Nikki’s, because she records all those things to herself and he would like to know what it is. And there are so many other little bits and pieces. Maybe they are just really good friends…don’t know. I’m not a big fan of hers, but whatever makes Rob happy, I’m fine with it. As long as it really makes him happy.

JBell brought up the white T-shirt wearing Nikki the other night and I think we decided it wasn’t dirty enough to actually be Rob’s. LOL!
There was also an interview that Nikki, Rob, Stewie and Rachelle did for Canada TV (the one where Stewie says body or buddy) where Rob says he forgets that Nikki is one of the vamps. You can see her get visibly mad at him. Don’t know if its cause he’s being a dork or if it’s really digging the dagger in that he just doesn’t think about her.

OK …. so not totally Rob related … but friend of Rob related: Daughter and I went to see The boat that rocked tonight.
I really enjoyed it, she was bored – the story about the government trying to shut down the pirate radio stations was of no interest to her and I don’t think she understood how repressed radio and broadcasting was in those days in the UK. I overhead some other 16/17 year olds in the loo afterwards also saying that they thought it was a bit boring. But I loved the music – it’s set in the time when I was a baby, but there was some great music then which of course any of us “marginally” older ladies will recognise.
TomStu was sweet and v. slightly dorky in it (I kind of saw shades of Daniel Gale to be honest, but that’s probably me just being robsessed). He has a lovely resonant voice, comes across as slightly intense. He is soooo skinny though – will someone fatten these boys up please – that goes for you too Rob. He had to bare his bits to the lovely Gemma Atterton who regrettably only had a small part in the film (love her but you may not have seen her in the States in her role in a UK TV adaptation of Tess of the D’Urbervilles in which she was fabulous). Tom’s character Karl actually had a pretty central part to the whole film – he was onscreen alot which I hadn’t expected. I think that certainly in the UK the film, even if not hugely successful (reviews are mixed), will push Tom much more into the public eye. If anything there have been mag reviews (serious ones, not teen girl rubbish) featuring Tom as an up and coming actor and not Rob, even since Twilight. I don’t know that Rob has done a big “personal” type interview (eg like the Rolling Stone or US GQ mag ones) for any UK magazine/newspaper in the last year or so (rather than a Twilight snippet). Certainly I don’t recall seeing anything in the way of an interview that steps outside of the Twilight box with him in a Brit mag.
Anyway, when the film comes to the US I’m sure the LTR ladies will love it – it’s a lesson in Brit humour if nothing else!

I am so looking forward to this movie. They actually showed a clip of it when during a montage of films coming out in 2009 here in the states after the Robscars. We have to wait until the very END of August to see it – August 28. Hopefully a bootleg with end up on the internet before then;) I’ll still go see it in theater though; gotta get Tom his money.

He’s very cute in it. He still seems very boyish to me (and as you know I’m old enough to be your mum) which is wierd as I think he is a little older than Rob? I don’t think Rob is mature in many ways, yet in some ways he seems like he has an old head on his shoulders. Sometimes in photos he looks like he’s in his late 20’s, other times (in Japan for example) he also looks much younger.
It’s funny to think that Tom’s love interest in the film (Talulah Riley) was the girl in Rob’s Summer House short film. Lucky her eh? Oh and just for good measure she is about to marry a billionaire apparently. I hate her!

The information is just that, information, and it would be great for me to go to that restaurant if I’m ever in Robcouver, now that I know he was there, but it’s a totally different thing than trying to get in there while he’s there, eating with his friends and start screaming at him…I don’t know if I explained it right. He’s not in any danger with us….unless we’re in a room alone with him, and then, yes, he IS in great danger! lol
