I pre-ordered from iTunes already too so that I can have it on the release day since I have to wait until mid-April to get the one from Borders.
Annnd… I HAD NO CLUE ABOUT THE ONE FROM TARGET! Therefore, it has been pre-ordered as well. I’ve been so jealous of the Canadians because they were getting the 3 disc edition; but Target is going to have it in the states! I’m not buying anymore dammit. Rob doesn’t get nearly enough royalties for me to keep buying them and I’m not supporting Summit in their pandering so…

The 3 disc edition is seemingly going to be the best one to get either from a store called HMV in Canada or a store called Target in the states (I’m not sure where you are… I think UK? Not sure.) Yes, ‘royalties’ means the amount of money Rob gets from all of the merchandise and what not.

I just caught this on the pre-order page through iTunes:

Hastings is a music/books/movies entertainment store. I’m going to the Twilight party there at 10pm on March 20th, LOL! They’ll hand out our pre-ordered dvds at midnight. Hastings isn’t selling a special edition, just the 2-discer that you can get on Amazon or at Walmart. I just always buy my movies or rent my movies at Hastings because they’re right here in town. Otherwise I have to drive 25 miles to a Best Buy and I’m too impatient to wait for the ones I ordered from Borders etc to come in the mail, so I’ll go there right away. LOL!

@Felicia – Why would they do that? (make it easy) Summit WANTS everyone to buy every single different version because that’s what Summit does… take advantage of the hype before the hype dies. What they fail to realize is that the hype isn’t going to die, we will all still be there all the way into 2010/2011 for all of it.
…or maybe they DO realize that the hype will always be there and they’re just taking advantage of that.

OK – I have pre-ordered from amazon and Borders (theirs have exclusive interviews). Then IfOnly and i are camping out at Target and Best Buy at midnight to get BluRay since that is the only place you can get those until they release bluray to everyone May 5 i think. Didn’t realize I could pre-order one from Target. Maybe I’lldo that too just to cover all the bases. Can you imagine what this site is going to looke like on March 21? All of us squealing girls watching Twilight and blogging about it at the same time!! I have blocked out my whole day for this. So the iTunes has extra bonus stuff too?

Total change of subject I know, but does anyone know how to find out about premiere location and date? Or is that something that’s not announced until the week of? I plan on going to LA for the New Moon premiere with two of my friends and it would help if we knew a date so we could book our hotel and flights. I know it’s way in advance, but you know….I just don’t want to have to wait until a few weeks before when everything you need to book would be extremely expensive b/c it’s done at the last minute. How do we find out this info?

@Felicia – They changed the date for Twilight because Warner Bros. pushed back Harry Potter by 7 months. Half-Blood Prince was supposed to come out that weekend, but Twilight got the boost because they needed a filler and with all of the hype that grew so rapidly all of the business minded guys said “Oh. Yes. Let’s rake in on THAT!”
