Sam-
I’m giving you mad props for riding your new-found fame the right way. 85% of the girls at your shows are there because you’re Rob’s bud, and they hope to see Rob. I think you know that, but you’re not bitter.
You’re not sitting around feeling sorry for yourself that your boy is the big hot star and you are riding in his shadow. No- you’re taking ADVANTAGE of your friend’s fame and using it to help YOUR career. And I respect that. I shouldn’t- I should tell you it’s selling out and it’s using Rob and it’s lame because you and Rob have no real connection other than your friendship and a song you wrote together (that is actually two separate songs but you got confused and/or drunk) that made it on a hit soundtrack. But I’m not going to tell you that because I think you’re a legit guy, and I hope that someday you and I become bff’s. And I don’t just hope that because I want to meet Rob at your next birthday party (well, 15% of me doesn’t hope for that reason).
I say keep running with what you got. Play tons of shows, hint that Rob might show up, and sell LOTS of CDs and merch to the suckas who come just to hear Rob. But as a gal with a music business degree who was a kickin’ artist management intern in ’04, I have to offer this advice: find yourself an audience other than Rob Pattinson fans. Because the minute you and Robbie fight over something lame like who put a hole in Rob’s shiteous blue sweater from his HP days, or who was the first to kiss Shelly Smith during spin the bottle in 9th grade or you rag on Rob for actually getting down and dirty with KStew last year and your friendship ends, there goes 85% of your fanbase.

I know this letter was all in good fun but damn this is cold and in my op. wrong. “85% of the girls at your show are there bc of Rob” – I’m hardly 85% but I am not going to see Sam next month because I like Rob, think Rob’s hot, hope to see Rob, etc. I’m going because Sam writes great songs, can really sing and play and is so damn cute it’s not even funny (praying I won’t turn fangirl but would totally hook up with him if given a smidge of a chance). Whitney Port is a nobody, wannabe A-lister who got a break on a US reality show called ‘The Hills’, about a bunch of rich kids in LA with nothing better do to than create drama in thier lives (sorry if anyone is a fan). It has actually been pretty popular. She was a BFF of one of the stars and got her own spin-off reality show when she moved to New York. I personally could care less about her opinion on ANYTHING!

So, it’s a little weird that my first comment won’t be about Rob, but…..
Were you serious that Sam is coming to Philly? I am on the other side of the state, but would so definitely drive over to Philly to see Sam. His myspace doesn’t mention Philly – so were you just saying that in case he ever DOES go to Philly, or do you have some inside information?
I am in the 15%…sorta. I love me some Sam Bradley, but I found him through Rob (as did everyone!) – and I think anyone would be lying if they say that they aren’t secretly hoping he shows up at a show they are at! I admit, the chances are lower in Philly than say, in Vancouver right now – but still!

So now I have my two favorite GQ pics, the colored one for here and the laying down black and white for Twitter.

It’s a screencap and seems blurry, probably cause he’s moving. He’s also standing at a weird angle. As I said above, I think it will come across better in the actual movie, as it was intended to.

Yes. Here is video from Sam’s show on the 20th. Hair is totally different. Also Rob doesn’t usually tuck his shirt in and shirt doesn’t look wrinkled enough.

UC you were snarky in a nice way, not to be confused with snarky in a good way. Snarky is nearly always ‘good’ but it’s not always ‘nice’. I liked your snarky niceness. I also agree with you 100%. Way to ride Rob’s coat tails, Sam! It’s a smart move in the short run. Anything to get people listening, right? Do get yourself a more solid fanbase though.
